She married Kevin Craft on December 6, 2003 and they lived in Union Grove, AL for 12 years. Jill was a graduate of Union University with a Bachelors Degree. She attended the Grassy Church of Christ.

Janice Reaves Stafford, 82, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional. She was born November 20, 1933 to the late Harold and Geraldine Reaves. She was retired from Tennessee Department of Employment Security and was a columnist for The Dyersburg Mirror and the Dyer County Tennessean. She published a cookbook, From the Back Burner that became a local favorite. Proceeds from the sale were donated to the Dyer County Fair Association. Mrs. Stafford was an active member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Sellers Sunday School Class and was instrumental in beginning the Homebound Communion program. After retirement, she was a Pink Lady beginning her tenure at Parkview Hospital and continuing thru 2002. She was a past board member of the Dyer County Volunteer blood program and an avid bridge player. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Dell King and Reverend Ed White with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Houston, Joey Pritchett, Tony Deere, Gerald Brandon, Freddie Wortman, Dr. Jim Caylor and Dr. Robin Algee. She taught herself French and became close with many students from all over the world evaluating and instructing them in their bible lessons via the internet. She wrote poetry and painted in her free time, kept a garden, and loved taking walks. Oneida was beautiful.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Lesley Bayfield of Cambridge, England. Shirley married Bill Weichlein in 1954 during the Korean War in Cambridge, England while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They originally settled in Kokomo, Indiana and then moved to Salem, Illinois and later Dyersburg, Tennessee; both with World Color Press. In 1993 the couple retired to Pahrump, Nevada but ultimately decided to call Dyersburg home. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William J. Weichlein; 1 daughter, Leslie A. Larson and husband Shawn of Gallatin; 1 son, Mark D. Weichlein and wife Sharon of Dyersburg; 1 brother, Ralph Bayfield, of England; 5 grandchildren, Kao Organ, Christian Clark, Taylor Larson, Sydney Larson, Anthony Hertel and wife Jeanna and 2 great-grandchildren, Xavier Hertel and Xander Hertel. L.V. Sewell, 87, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Bolivar General Hospital. He was born May 4, 1928 to the late Roy and Margie Dew Sewell. He was a retired delivery man for Homer Pressler Furniture Company and Dyersburg Fabrics. He was a lifetime member and Deacon of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Michael Crandall. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery in Gates. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Landon Sewell, Jacob Brannon, Jackson Sewell, Scotty Rose, Ronny Scott Clift, Dexter Meredith and Barry Sewell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronny Clift, Joe Gibson, David Greer, Claudie Gaskins, Brian Meredith, Jonathan Meredith and Billy Winstead. The Sewell family will receive friends Friday, December 18th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. He is survived by 2 daughters, Dorothy Ann Clift (Ronny) of Middleton, Jeannie Meredith (Dexter) of Knoxville; 4 sons, Roy Sewell (Dottie) of Grenada, MS, Lonnie Victor Sewell (Madonna) of Dyersburg, Tommy Sewell (Debbie), of White House, Donald Ray Sewell of Jackson; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In additional to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann Sewell; his son, Billy Sewell; 1 sister, Frances Melton and 1 brother, Jessie Walter Sewell. Reba Sue Garrett, age 84, of Halls died Monday, December 14, 2015 at Bells Nursing Home and Rehab of Bells, TN. Reba Sue was born January 12, 1931 in Crockett Co., TN. She is the daughter of the late Milton and the late Emma (Heath) Baker. She was a homemaker. Reba Sue is survived by one daughter: Regenia Tucker of Springville, TN and one son: Mike Garrett of Drummonds, TN; Sister of one brother: Milton Jewell Baker of Senatobia, MS and a son-in-law, Thomas Henson of Halls, TN. She was predeceased by her husband, JL Garrett, a daughter, Lanita Sue Henson and a brother, Larry Joe Baker. The service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16 at Archer's Chapel Methodist Church, Halls, TN with Bro. Jesse Laney officiating.
