Our editorial standards

Dyer County News reports from primary sources. Where we make a factual claim about a person or institution, we base it on the underlying record — disclosure filings, court documents, audits, property and tax records, and other public data — and, where practical, we publish or link the source so readers can verify it.

We distinguish reporting from analysis. We do not impute criminal motive or wrongdoing to any person without a documented, transactional basis for the statement. Where a matter is contested, we seek and represent the other side.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. If you believe we have published something inaccurate, email editor@dyercountynews.com with the specifics and the source, and we will review and, where warranted, correct it.

Sources and anonymity
