She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. She served the community in health care during her career. She loved to travel and with her military husband, lived in several states and countries. She was an avid quilter and loved to crochet. She cherished her family and friends and loved giving from the heart. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Chuck Kohley and Elder Harold Roddy with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Doris is survived by her husband of 63 years, Sterling Paul Welborn, Jr, her daughter Suzanne Welborn Jortner of Dallas, TX, and her son Sterling Paul Welborn, III (Amy) of New Albany, MS. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Katie Mackenzie Jortner of Washington, D.C., Grant Jortner of Dallas, TX, Drew Welborn, John Wright Welborn, and Laura Ruth Welborn all of New Albany. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews in Dyersburg along with her great aunt Marilyn Kylce Cook of Birmingham, AL and their extended families. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ann & Pat Roberts and her son-in-law Tom Jortner.

Doris was the daughter of Edwin Obediah Stallings and Cornelia Klyce Stallings. She was a longtime resident of Dyersburg, TN. Doris was a loving mother and grandmother, which led her and Paul to move to both Birmingham, AL and New Albany, MS to be close to their children and grandchildren.

Born August 29, 1941 to the late Faye Wheeler Finley and Maxine Evans Finley, he was a retired sales manager for Kalium Chemical Company. Bill was a member of St. Marys Episcopal Church, president of the Dyersburg Municipal Golf Association and president of Pioneer Lake Association. His family and his grandson were his greatest treasures. A gracious and generous man, he was loved and admired by all who knew him. Bill was an avid golfer, hunter and horse enthusiast.

Donald Keith Baker of Dyersburg died peacefully Friday evening, September 2nd after a long and full life of 84 years. Born January 30, 1932 during the depths of the Great Depression in Tigrett TN to Isaac Hassell and Mary Martha Johnson Baker, "Buddy" or "Bud" Baker was the youngest of six children. He was preceded in both life and death by sisters Charlotte Elaine Rice (1920-2008), Dorothy Ann (1926-1926), Jane LaNelle Patterson (1930-2012) and brothers James Jasper (Jim 1922-1978) and Thomas Johnson (Toby 1924-1948).

He was a devoted Christian, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Known for his calm demeanor, dry sense of humor, and unwavering honesty, Bud spent essentially his entire working career at Dyersburg Fabrics (Dyersburg Cotton Products or The Mill). East Dyersburg Methodist Church was his church home for over 60 years where he enjoyed lasting and true friendships. Following retirement from the Mill, he mowed the church lot, took homebound friends out for long drives down country roads, and was a reliable Red Coat volunteer at Dyersburg's hospital for many years.

Bill was married for 64 years to the late Mary Louise Hughes Kelly. They were the parents of Edward Ross “Ed” Kelly (Betsy) of Memphis and the late William Hathaway “Bill” Kelly Jr. (Paula) and the late Virginia Kelly Viar (Charles). He also leaves eight grandchildren: William H. Kelly III (Michelle) of Atlanta; Patrick Louis Kelly (Heather) of Birmingham; Matthew Hughes Kelly of Senatobia, MS; Elizabeth Kelly Eggleston (Winston) and Eleanore Kelly Maynard (Barry) of Memphis; Mary Milton Kelly of New York; Blake Hathaway Viar of Memphis; and 1st Lt. Mary Curren Viar Hart (Jeff) of Fort Sill, OK; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Charles H. Martin, age 83, of Halls died Friday, August 12, 2016 at home in Halls. Mr. Charles was born October 2, 1932 in Lauderdale Co., TN. He is the son of the late Thomas O'Neal and the late Nora Bell (Patterson) Martin. Charles married Dorothy Maie Perry. He served in the Air Force and was a General Contractor for many years. Mr. Charles was also a retail business owner. Charles is survived by his wife: Dorothy Maie (Perry) Martin, one son: Charles Michael Martin of Halls, TN; He also has a Granddaughter: Pam Martin Ellis of Gates TN and three Great -Grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, and Holly Kate Ellis. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, August 15 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN with Bro. Scott Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Gates Cemetery, Gates on Monday, August 15 following the service. Calling hours will be Monday, August 15 from 11:00 am. Until service time at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Robin Dwain Lemons, age 79, of Halls died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Jackson General Hospital of Jackson, TN. Robin was born September 15, 1936 in Lauderdale Co., TN. He is the son of the late John Rufus and the late Geraldine (White) Lemons. Robin was a long time employee of the Town of Halls Street Department. Robin is survived by his wife, Rosie (Yochum) Lemons. He leaves a daughter, Robin Denise (Marlon) Davis of Clifton, TN. He is also survived by two sisters: Dorothy Clark of Halls, TN and Jewel Dean Rains of Leesburg, AL. Robin also leaves three brothers: Jerry Lemons of Ripley, TN, Dale Lemons of Ripley, TN and Bill Lemons of Gates, TN. Robin is also survived by two grandsons: Weston and Clayton Davis of Clifton,TN. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and their children, along with a host of family and friends. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, August 13 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N.
