Joan cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Holy Hills Baptist Church.

Born and raised in the river bottoms of Halls, Tennessee, Mark spent much of his youth fishing and hunting. He graduated from Halls High School in 1956, married the love of his life, Jane Cheshier Crihfield, in April of 1958, and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After basic training in San Antonio, Texas at Lackland Air Force Base, they were stationed at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Illinois, before finally moving back to Halls in 1962.

It is with profound sadness that we share the death of our co-worker and friend, Billy Edward Parmenter, who died Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born July 28, 1938, he was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sarah Lucille Dyer Parmenter. Bill retired as textile manager at Dyersburg Fabrics and has been employed as a licensed funeral director at Curry Funeral Home since his retirement.

Bill was born in Lenox, TN and was the oldest of six children. He was also the only boy of the family. He attended Lenox Grammar School and Dyersburg High School, where he graduated in 1956. After graduating high school, he began his career at Dyersburg Fabrics, where he worked in the Dye House, later becoming the Dye House Manager. While working there, he taught Safety Classes to the employees, and participated in many activities, such as the bowling league, where his team was Tournament Champions, and Breakfast with Santa. He worked there for 45 years. While working full-time he began attending Dyersburg State Community College, where he earned his Associate of Science Degree with highest honors in 1974. Then in 1978, he completed a Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Speaking and Human Relations. In addition to his busy work schedule with Dyersburg Fabrics, he also was a D.J. for WTRO Radio Station and a part time actor with different acting groups like Stage Door Players and Night Lite Theater, and the Newbern Depot. He will be remembered for some of the characters he played such as Mr. Potter from “It’s A Wonderful Life,” Teddy Roosevelt from “Arsenic and Old Lace,” Snoopy from the play “Snoopy,” and Jacob from “Joseph’s Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He had a special gift of interacting with people and making them laugh. Even though his life was busy, he proudly served his country in The Tennessee National Guard. Later in life, he would join the Dyersburg Choral Society and become the President of it from 2005 – 2006. He was an active member of Dyersburg First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and a Sunday School teacher.

Archie Larry. Bobby will be laid to rest at New Haven Cemetery in the Madie Community, near Ridgely, TN.

Bobby was born at his family's home on February 3, 1969, in Tiptonville, TN to the late Reverend Goble and Brenda Wiggins, Sr. He is preceded in death by his loving parents and his sister, Theresa. Bobby grew up in a large family of brothers, sisters and cousins within the Lake County area where he acquired many friends, whom he loved as family. These friends loved him in return, just the same. Those who knew him and loved him best would often refer to him as "Gremlin". He was a precious, dear little brother to his four living brothers and sisters, and a menace, hero and friend, all at the same time to his little sister. Bobby married his beautiful wife and love of his life, Cheryl, on the pier behind the former Reelfoot Lake Museum and Ellington Hall on September 11, 1992. Together, they brought two wonderful, kind sons into the world and raised them into good men. Over the years, their family grew to include two precious granddaughters who love their grandparents wholeheartedly. Bobby and Cheryl created a beautiful family together where Bobby was honored to take on the roles of loving husband, father and grandfather.

The McDivitt family is heartbroken to part ways with our Donna McDivitt. She may have lived in Florida, but for us, her home will always be Tennessee. She was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet—capable of loving others past their faults and through their failures. She found value in every person she encountered and held unconditional love in her heart for her family and friends.

Donna spent a lifetime in nursing. She was a natural caregiver and always wanted to do everything she could to help people—strangers, family, animals… it didn’t matter. She left everything better than she found it in one way or another. She was a faithful wife to her high school sweetheart and husband, the late Mitchell Keith McDivitt, for 37 years. Their marriage was fire-tested, with Donna always staying by his side, through hardship, through cancer, and finally to the end. We know the road ahead will lead her back to him. She was his home, and he was hers. She loved her children with her entire being—her son, Brian Keller McDivitt; her daughter, Anne Ladyem McDivitt; and her beloved furbaby, the late “Piggy,” Donna and Mitch’s tiny shih tzu companion. Her children were her entire world, and she and Mitch did everything in their power to make them feel loved and special. She also encouraged them to chase their dreams, and when those dreams led them far from home, she and Mitch would sometimes chase those dreams with them. Donna was the best mother, sister, daughter, and aunt any of us could ever ask for. In our hearts, we will never forget the years on Oak Street, eating Aunt Donna’s Mexican cornbread and listening to Uncle Mitch’s bad jokes, or the years on Pate Ave.: sleepovers, cookouts, and jumping on the trampoline. She was always on board for an adventure, always welcoming you with a big hug, and she never let the sadness or disappointments of life ruin the happiness she found in between. It is impossible to measure the loss of someone so meaningful to your life. Hearts break forever over losses like this, and the world feels lonelier without her in it. Her smile and laugh will be missed, but we hold onto the memories of a life well-lived and a person well-loved.

Gwen is survived by her son, Jason Leonard (Mandy), of Dyersburg and daughter Emily Hollingsworth (Derek) of Finley and a sister Patricia Fesmire (Wilson) of Dyer and was "Aunt Gwen" to her nieces Keri Swims (Bruce) and Abigail Swims. She was greatly loved as "Nanny" by her five grandchildren; Will & Katie Leonard and Clay, Huck & Lottie Hollingsworth. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Leonard, her sister Rejina Ann London, her parents and her nephews Shannon & Spence Jackson.

Mr. Manley Joe Monday, of Friendship, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital. Joe was born July 14, 1955 in Crockett Co. to Peggy and Manley Monday. He was a 1973 graduate of Dyersburg High School and later studied electrical engineering in college. He worked as a travelling engineer, consulting on many projects. Later, he was a supervisor for AutoZone, helping to set up and open new retail locations. His work took him to visit all of the lower 48 United States. In his free time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, growing tomatoes and sharing them, was a fan of professional auto-racing and football and loved learning through National Geographic shows and documentaries. He is remembered for always being a cut-up with his family members and for his love for animals, especially his dog, Max.

Joe is survived by his mother, Peggy Thompson Monday, his sister Donna Willover and is fondly remembered as "Joe-Joe" by his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Manley Monday and brother-in-law Mike Willover.

She was employed for many years with Caterpillar Manufacturing and later ran a fruit and vegetable stand with her family in the Four-Points community. Shirley was a lover of music and wrote poetry in her free time.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Steven Plotner, her daughter Charlotte Allen, her sons Mark Joyner (Jennifer) and Larry Leonard Joyner, Jr. her sisters Billie Runions and Patsy Austin and her brothers Charles, Danny and Stanley Booker. She enjoyed spending time with and was greatly loved as "Granny" by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 50 years, Larry L. Booker, Sr. her parents and her brothers Ricky Booker and Larry Wayne Booker.

Mr. Jeffrey Thomas Sartin, of Dyersburg, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital. Jeff was born April 3, 1954 and was raised in Lenox, TN, a community that was a special place to his family. He was a graduate of Dyersburg High School in 1972 and attended Dyersburg State Community College. His love of agriculture and supporting local farmers led him to work in sales for Wynnburg Tractor Co., and the John Deere dealers in Dyersburg: Ozment Equipment, AgCenter and Tennessee Tractor, until his retirement. His experience and outgoing personality were a good fit as he worked with DeWitt Auction Co. for the last ten years. He also owns and operated the Lenox Store for a period of time, a fixture and gathering spot, in that community. Jeff was a charter member of Three Oaks Baptist Church in Dyersburg.

Jeff is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Judy Blackwood Sartin, his daughter, Jennifer Criswell and husband, Gary, his sons Brian Sartin and wife, Beverly and John Scott Sartin and wife, Julie, his brother Steve Sartin and wife, Sabrina. He was greatly loved as "Papaw" and "Paps" by his grandchildren; Kaitlyn Hagood and husband, Taylor, John Colby Sartin, Thomas Sartin, Ryan Sartin and Hollon Sartin and his great-grandchildren Hudson, Hayden and Hendon Hagood. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Alice Sartin and a brother Harold A. Sartin.
