Alfred was born on June 1, 1937, in Dyer County, TN, to the late Kizarah Jeff McKee and Leota Ramsey McKee. He was a retired sheet metal mechanic and was a member of the Independent Free Holiness Church. Alfred's passion was music. He played in churches and when he was younger, he played backup for many bands at Sun Records Studio, including the Oak Ridge Boys, Chet Atkins, Stella Parton and many more. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching wildlife.

She is the daughter of the late Aubrey and the late Hattie (Vowell) Smith. Mrs. Jean was a retired Sales Associate for Arnold's Drug Co. She also worked as a secretary for Edward's Gin Co. in Halls. Mrs. Jean was a long-time member of Westside Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving daughter: Tonya (Mike) Jacobs of Halls, TN. She also has four precious grandchildren: Taylor Jacobs of Halls, TN, Leah Murray of Cordova, TN, Stephen Taylor of Jackson, TN and Matthew Taylor of Sevierville, TN. Mrs. Jean also leaves behind 4 wonderful great-grandchildren: Karsyn Akers, Julianna Akers, Jacob Murray and Callum Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Taylor, her son, Todd Taylor and her brother, James Vowell Smith. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Westside Baptist Church, 705 Sumrow St., Halls, TN with her grandson Stephen Taylor officiating. She served in the Finley School cafeteria as a cook for over 38 years and was loved by the students there. She was a member of the Little Country Church. In her free time, she enjoyed time spent on her porch, visiting with her grandchildren, cooking for family, fishing and camping. She will be remembered by her family, friends, students and community for the love that she shared with them all.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Lewis & husband, Ronnie and Sandy Medley her sister, Judy Hutcheson, her grandchildren, Tony Lewis, Lana & Jeff Fair and Glenn & Shari Parkinson, her great-grandchildren, Leah & William Shultz, Taylor & Todd Baker, Kodie Taylor, Jessie & Katie Fair, Megan and Hannah Parkinson and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Taylor, Brylee Fair, Madison Fair, Marvin Shultz and was excited for her baby Baker, expected to be born soon. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 54 years, J.B. "Bill" Sawyer and eight of her brothers & sisters.

He was a man of few words but always had wisdom to share.

Morlon is survived by his daughters, Michelle Rogers and husband, James McCutcheon and Misty Rushing, his brother Bobby Rushing, sisters Joan Jenkins, Joyce Childress & Diane Rushing, his granddaughters, Natalie Langley & Hanna McCuiston and his seven great-grandchildren. She married William C Cloar of Dyersburg on August 4, 1962, In Wellesley, Massachusetts with a reception that followed at the Wellesley Country Club. After the wedding she moved to Dyersburg, Tennessee where her husband was Employed at Dyersburg Fabrics.

Joan worked at Kellwood in Alamo, Todd Uniform in Maury City, and later retired from a Courier position. Joan is survived by her husband of 34 years: David Earl Garrett of Friendship, TN and two daughters: Jacqueline Rene' Merritt of McKenzie, TN, and Teresa (James) Conatser of Frog Jump, TN; Sister of one brother: David Ozment of Maury City, TN. Ron was born October 7, 1949 in Dyersburg, TN to the late Ralph & Martha Holcomb. Upon graduation, he served in the United States Army in Viet Nam and later served in the United States Air Force in both active and reserve roles. For 30 years, he worked for Dyersburg Fabrics, then for Lincare and as a transport driver for Sayle Oil Company. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as group motorcycle rides around the region with friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Greer Holcomb, his son, Ronald Holcomb, Jr., his brother Tab Holcomb, and his step-sisters Hilda Peevyhouse & Marilyn Todd. He loved his time as PawPaw to his grandson, James Case Holcomb. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David Holcomb and step-sister, Verna Gay.

In his free time, he was an avid dirt-track and NASCAR fan and enjoyed riding motorcycles. In his younger years, he played bass guitar for the band "Billy Ray & The Hurricanes" with his brother.

Auston is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Shirley Mealer, his sons, Jerry Mealer and Auston Mealer, Jr. & wife, Loretta, his daughter, Sherry Diane Lee & husband, Kenny, his brother, Billy Ray Mealer and sister, Judy Thurmond.
