He was a certified public accountant, a member of First United Methodist Church in Athens, Texas, and was an Army veteran of Vietnam. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dyersburg with Dr. John Adams and the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors at 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include his wife, Jane Gibson Joslin of Athens, Texas; three daughters, Mary Katherine Ann Joslin and husband, Dennis Donato, of Memphis, Jansen Joslin Henderson and husband, Matt, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jane Katherine Joslin of Athens, Texas; his mother, June Joslin Cooper; a sister, Vicky Peel and husband, Ike, of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Joslin Alexandra Henderson, Noah Scott Henderson and Jonas Gibson Akin; and Owen Gibson. He was also president of Troy Inc., as well as holding several prominent positions with companies in Missouri, including JTroy Construction until retirement. He was a past Deacon and Sunday school teacher where he was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg. He was also active in the Dyersburg Jaycees and a member of the Dyersburg Bass Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Wells Troy, of Marble Hill, MO, a daughter, Kathy E. Glaze and husband Eddie of Lynnhaven, FL, two sons Jack L. Troy Jr. and William "Bill" Troy and wife Susan all of Dyersburg, a brother Terry A. Troy of Boone, NC, five grandchildren, Jarred S. Fowlkes of Union City, TN, Sara K. Norton of Dallas, TX, L. Casey Troy, William Harris Troy II and John E. Troy all of Dyersburg, and a great-grandson, Skyler L. Fowlkes of Finley, TN He was preceded in death by his parents William Harris and Kathryn S. He was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
