Heidi Marie Childress Burnham, 40, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at her residence. Born April 4, 1980, she is the daughter of Sandra Cooley and the late Larry Childress. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker. She loved her sons and family, country dancing, traveling, fishing and anything at all to do with water. Heidi was a 1998 graduate of Dyersburg High School, where she excelled in basketball and academics. Celebration of Life services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2020 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Bro. Danny O'Guin, Bro. Jeremy Robbins and Bro. Jeremy Ballinger. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Sammy Burnham; two sons, Tyler Lawson and Jake Holden, both of Dyersburg; three step-daughters, Brandi Duke (Ryan), Mandi Gilliland (Brent), Samantha Burnham, all of Dyersburg; her mother, Sandra Cooley of Dyersburg; her twin sister, Holly Fowler (Josh) of Newbern; two sisters, Kelly Williams (Dan), Leilani Childress, both of Dyersburg; three brothers, Jamie McNeely (Tina), Jimmy Childress (Tommie Sue), Bubba Childress, all of Dyersburg; nine step-grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews. He was born September 1, 1947, at Baird- Brewer Hospital in Dyersburg, the second child and only son of George Lawson Yarbro, Sr. and Frances Hansbrough Yarbro. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Dyersburg and The Knights of Columbus.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Phelps is also survived by a son, Rickey Terry of Jackson; two daughters, Julie Jones and her husband Ed of Halls, Emily Terry and her fianc Robert Dennis both of Ripley; one brother, Jeffery (Kerri) Taylor of Benton, KY; one sister, Kimily Taylor and spouse Paige of Collierville; a step-son, Jacob Jones of Drummonds, TN; a half brother Jimmy Dan Taylor of Texas. thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. During Jerry's time here on Earth he held various jobs from working on his family farm, having served as Lauderdale County Sheriff in 1990, and retired as a contractor for CN railroad. Jerry was born August 17th, 1941 to the late Roy and Lillie Mae Crain. He is survived by his son, David Lynn, honorary daughter in law, Pam Brooks, two granddaughters, Shelley Ray (Bryson) of Ripley and, Megan Davis (Houston) of Covington, three great granddaughters Briley and Brynlee Ray of Ripley, and Ella Rose Davis of Covington. He is survived by brothers Floyd (Joann) and Neal (Buntin), and sister Mary Ann Voss (Oliver Ray) all of Ripley, and Billy of Halls. He is preceded in death by his precious wife, Memory of 56 years, his parents Roy and Lillie Mae Crain, brothers Bernice (Gladys), Lawson (Sybil) and sister in law Frances. He was a member at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be held, Friday, October 2nd from 11:00-2:00. Services will be held at 2:00p.m. Burial to follow at Mary's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Vaden was known for working hard which led him to start his own successful trucking business and while also farming. He was a member at Curve Baptist Church and a graduate of Halls High School. Along with his wife and parents, Mr. Vaden is also survived by one son, Justin Vaden of Somerville; two daughters, Madalyn Vaden of Brownsville and Jessie Vaden of Gates; one brother, Jim Vaden of Villa Hills, KY; and his first grandson due to arrive in February 2021. Donna was the first President of the local Parrish Council of Catholic Women, was an avid reader and was deemed the best cook ever according to those who knew her.

Nancy Carol Hargrove Thrash, age 74, died on September 1, 2020 in Ripley, Tennessee. Celebration of Life to be held at Halls Funeral Home, September 6, at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Barbara Blackmon-Fortune officiating. Mrs. Thrash was born on January 28, 1946 in Brownsville, Tennessee to the Lt. Col. Grady Thomas Hargrove and Dorothy Louise (Wood) Hargrove. She traveled extensively in her youth as part of an active military family. She eventually continued the adventure as she met and married a US Marine, the Major Ronald Jess Thrash. She enjoyed travel throughout her life, from her childhood years spent in places such as Puerto Rice to Turkey, to camping trips to the mountains, and trips to beaches as a young mother. Early retirement years added to the adventures with many cross-country motorcycle trips with her husband. She was an active part of her children's lives, actively attending ball games, dance recitals, and band competitions. She was a proud Band Mom of the 1984 state champion Golden Tiger Band to whom she was known lovingly as "Little Mama". She continued to serve actively as she became a grandmother, serving as prop mistress for productions at Ripley High School. Mrs. Thrash is preceded in death by her husband USMC Major Ronald J. Thrash, to whom she was always faithful "Semper Fi", her parents, Grady and Dorothy (Wood) Hargrove, and brother Tom Wood Hargrove. She is survived by her sister, Bette (Ken) Davis of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, her son, USMC L/Cpl.Todd (Dianne) Thrash of El Indio, Texas, daughter, Kelly Thrash of Jackson, Tennessee. Loving Mawmaw to Mikayla (Kyle) Haggard of Mobile, Alabama, Christopher Thrash of Mathis, Texas, Matthew Williamson of Jackson, Tennessee, and Cheyenne Thrash if Lubbock, Texas, and Great Grandmother to Alexander Haggard. Nieces and nephews include Casey (Eric) Hansen of Happy Valley, Oregon and Evan (Rebecca) Davis of Arlington, Virginia. Internment will reunite Mrs. Thrash with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please a donation to Exceptional Worship or The Veterans' Museum.
