Mr. Roy Brown Chandler, of Dyersburg, passed away May 3, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital. He was born December 20, 1934 to the late Johnny & Pauline Chandler. He was a graduate of Dyersburg High School. Roy spent much of his life working in Dyersburg, as a young man at the Dyersburg Cotton Mill, where his parents also worked for much of their lives. He proudly served in the United States Army and returned home to start a new career with the Independent Life Insurance Company. He eventually moved on to work for the Colonial Baking Co. where he received several awards, including Salesman of the Year. He later worked as an entrepreneur, managing convenience stores in Dyersburg and Jackson. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf, birdwatching and was an avid Bass fisherman. He also loved music and playing guitar. He was a long-time member of the Phillips Street Church of Christ in Dyersburg.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Coburn Chandler, of Dyersburg, his daughter, Rhonda Jamison, of Newbern, TN, his son, Christopher Roy Chandler, of Jackson, TN. He was loved as "PoPaw" by his grandchildren, John Chandler, Casey Chandler, Joshua Wilson, Charity Wilson, Bracken Wilson and Coley Jamison as well as eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Paul Chandler and his sisters, Joyce Chandler Dawson and Jewel Dean Griggs.

Forever patriotic, being a Vietnam veteran and serving his country in the United States Army and in the Army National Guard. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 32 years. After retirement, he and Lucille Capps Pruett, his wife (also the love of his life and best friend) moved to Big Rock, Tennessee.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5-8 at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Bro Dale Morgan. Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Larry was born on November 20, 1942 in Greenfield, TN to the late Cecil and Ruth Ann Whitis James. He was in banking for many years working at Farmers Bank where he served as Vice-President and later at First Tennessee Bank. After retiring from the bank he began to sell life insurance for New York Life and Eison Insurance. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and making handmade duck calls. He was a board member of The Call-makers & Collectors Association of America - Reelfoot Chapter. Most days you could find Larry at his favorite dinning spot, Mel's Diner, getting breakfast or lunch. He enjoyed travelling and anything TN Vols sports. Larry was a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.

David took special pride in being responsible for the restoration and upkeep at Parr Cemetery in Halls, TN, and enjoyed camping, boating, swimming, and hunting. He loved training his dog, Sadie, and watching Alabama football with his parents. Above all else, he was most proud of his daughter and loved spending time with her. David is survived by his daughter, Sophia Ilene Stallings, 18, of Halls, TN; his parents, Bubba and June Ann Stallings of Halls, TN; his sister, Kathlene (Peter) Poulelis of Hernando, MS; his grandmother, Jerre "Muzzie" (Wymon) Stallings of Halls, TN; and his step grandmother, Mary (Coach C.M.) He was an employee of the highway department for the State of Tennessee for 30 years and was a part-time farmer on the side. In his spare time, Buddy enjoyed junking and going to yard sales. He was a faithful member of Sorrells Chapel United Methodist Church.

O C was an ITT Technical Institute Graduate and was a member of the National Guard in Lansing, MI. He enjoyed building computers and was a part time professor at vocational school in computer technology. O C taught leadership skills at the local high schools. He enjoyed doing all his own maintenance and home projects around the home and loved woodworking and automotive projects. O C received as associates degree from Muskegon Community College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Nancy Yarbro Davis passed away in her sleep on March 29, 2022 at the Union City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Nancy was born in Decatur County on June 10, 1936, and her family relocated to Menglewood in Dyer County when she was still a small girl. She lived for a short time on Ft. Hudson Road, but Troy Avenue in Dyersburg was home for her school years. Nancy was a lifelong member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church.

Nancy loved growing up in Dyersburg and often spoke of the good times she, her sisters, Clara Nell and Lillian, had with their friends: Molly Conyers, Kay Kellie, Tommie Canada and others. During Nancys professional working career, she was employed by The Federal Crop Insurance Program and served as Dyer County Property assessor, later moving to Ridgely to help her husband, Billy Miles Davis, operate a small grocery store which they had purchased.
