He was a member of Memphis Amateur Antique Radio Club, Ham Radio Club and Operator since 1952, Amateur Radio Flyers Club, member of 15th and 450th Air Force Association, former FAA Flight Instructor and Flight Examiner of Dyer Municipal Airport from 1962-1984, former member of the Civil Air Patrol, Honorary Board member of Halls Army Air Base Museum and a member of Forked Deer Antique Car Club, for which he named.

Mrs. Marie Runion, 79, of Tiptonville, TN died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor in Tiptonville. A resident of Tiptonville for nearly 65 years, Marie graduated from Tiptonville High School in 1951 where she was a star basketball player for the Earthquakes. A year after graduation, Marie was married to Hurschel Runion, a lifelong mate with whom she would spend the next 59 years. She was an active member of the Tiptonville Church of Christ where she taught children's Sunday school classes for nearly 40 years. She was also an active member of the Tiptonville community at large, helping to guide, influence, and inspire others, by either lending a helping hand or simply through the example she set in her daily life. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM at Antioch Cemetery conducted by Mr. Wilford Mobley and Mr. Don Reel. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Greg Williams, Craig Williams, Robert Michael, Tim McKenzie, Tony Wallace and Kurt Chisolm. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Butler, Shelby Barker and Shelby C. Barker. Billie Sue "Nana" Moore Morgan, 72, of Ridgely, TN met her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. After teaching in the Lake County School System for 42 years, she retired in 1999. She continued to be an active piano teacher, a pianist and member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church. A celebration of life for Ms. Morgan will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church with Reverend William George and Pastor David Gray officiating. She will be laid to rest in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. The Morgan family will receive visitors Tuesday, September 6th from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the church. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her daughter Paula Sue Morgan Jordan and husband Robert of Ft. Campbell, KY, 2 grandchildren, William Jordan Morgan of Ridgely and Seth Eric Jordan of Ft. Campbell, KY, her aunt, Luna B. Cantrell of Ridgely, and her cousins, Glenda Cantrell of Ridgely, Willie Cantrell of Tiptonville, Clifford Wood, Thomas Wood and Elroy Wood, all of St. Louis, MO and Sally Cullipher of Sumter, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Pauline Wood Moore.
