Mr. Delmer Eugene McNeil, Jr., age 32, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at The Med in Memphis. He was a member of Three Oaks Chapel. Delmer played baseball for Dyersburg High School from 1994-1998. In 1998 he was named Tennessee District Player of the year and First Team All-State. He played for the 1998 Memphis BFI Tigers. Delmer played for Jackson State Community College (1998-2000) and University Tennessee Martin (2000-2001). He coached the Full Count Falcons and Dyersburg Dixie Youth Baseball. He was a mentor to countless youth sharing his love of baseball and life with tireless energy and passion. He was the founder of Full Count Baseball Academy where he taught baseball and softball fundamentals of hitting, pitching and fielding. He was also a hitting device creator and inventor, always looking for ways to improve the game he loved better. Funeral services will be at 1pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Three Oaks Chapel conducted by Reverend Bill Phipps. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
