She enjoyed cooking and made an assortment of candies every year at Christmas. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her many flowers.

He is survived by his one daughter, Judy Chastain (Frank), of Calhoun, GA.; four sons, Paul Seratt Jr. (Gina), of Newbern, David Seratt (Pam), of Greybull, WY, Bill Seratt (Barbara) of Halls and Jim Seratt (Robin), of Dyersburg; six grandchildren, J Paul Seratt (Kimberly), of Laramie, WY., Alyson Pollock (Thomas), of Dyersburg, Amber Riddick (Patrick) of Dyersburg, Preston Seratt (Randi) of Dyersburg, Rebecca Seratt of Powell, WY., and Madison Seratt of Martin; four great-grandchildren, Eli Pollock, Addi Riddick, Lane Seratt and Harper Pollock; five step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Peggy House (Bob), Linda Daniels (Jerry), Genette Copeland (Hershel), all of Dyersburg, Sharon Karr (John David) of Albertville, AL Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elaine Marilyn Benson Seratt, as well as a daughter Lori Seratt and a granddaughter Christina Seratt. He was a wonderful loving brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to all. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cornerstone Church of God in Dyersburg on Monday, August 25, 2014 with visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 pm with service to begin at 7:00 pm to celebrate the life of Paul, Sam, Dad, Pops and Papa. She is survived by one daughter, Alice Fay Seratt (James Jones) of Dyersburg; three sons, Harry Edmond Seratt (Nancy) of Memphis, Murray Joseph Seratt (Robin) of Bartlett, Eddie Lane Seratt (Mary) of Brighton, eight grandchildren - Claire Turner, Ed Seratt, Mitchell Seratt, Corey Seratt, Amanda Bannister, India Pajeau, Heather Seratt, and Dr. Jessica Seratt - as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Ora Seratt; her sisters, Dovie Epperson, Evelyn Cupples, Lois Bane, Ruth Pinner, Dean Baker, her brother Tom Epperson, her son, Joseph Edward Seratt and her grandson, Joe Seratt Webb.
